57 days to Opening Day, White Sox fans!

Bobby Thigpen set the big league record with 57 saves for the 1990 White Sox.

A few details about that amazing feat …

*With his four wins, Thigpen had a hand in  68 percent of the Sox victories in 1990. … With his six losses, Thigpen was involved in 41 percent of the Sox decisions in 1990

*30 of his saves came on the road. It took the Sox until 1980 (11 years into the rule) to find a pitcher to post a 30-save season (Ed Farmer)

*Thigen logged his most saves (7) against the Angels and Yankees

*Thigpen threw the last pitch at Comiskey Park and it resulted in his final save of the season (Sept. 30, 1990)
