Hawaii was admitted as state No. 50 in 1959.

Did you know that Charlie Hough, who played for the Sox in 1991 and 1992, is the all-time leader among Hawaiians in games pitched, games started by a pitcher, wins, losses, complete games, shutouts, saves, innings and strikeouts?

Chuck Hough was born in Honolulu on Jan. 5, 1948.

Other Sox Hawaiians are Mike Huff and Joe DeSa.
